finally done the story of the “virgin” mary and her immaculate conception for my sequential art final.  very happy with how this came out/that it’s finished.

This is actually how I said it probably happened.

I just laughed myself into space

Except

Joseph was actually a decent person and didn’t make a scene

He even planned how he could break the engagement without disgracing her

And that’s not what immaculate conception means

Immaculate conception means that MARY was born free of original sin so she’d be worthy to bear the Messiah

So this is a cool idea and amazing artwork and I like the way it humanizes Mary

But it kind of doesn’t explain some key elements of the story like Joseph not being an asshole about her pregnancy
